Regular Hours: Monday – Friday 9 am to 5 pm. Appointments have priority, but walk-ins are always welcome! We are located at the Student Services Building between Costo Hall and the Student Success Center. Learn about UCR's campus return plans.

In order to speak to HOSS representatives about financial aid, grades, etc., your student MUST make you an AUTHORIZED USER in R'Web.
Students
To give an Authorized User proxy access to your student record(s):
1) Log into R'Web using your UCR NetID and password
2) Click on the Authorized User icon
3) Enter your Authorized User's information and click "Add Proxy"

Please have the following ready when you arrive at the HOSS:
Students: UCR student ID number AND a photo ID
Parents/Guardians/Authorized Users: Photo ID AND documented proxy access in R'Web. In order to speak with HOSS representatives, parents/guardians MUST be established as Authorized Users in R'Web by their student.
FAFSA/CADAA Tartan & Tweed Drop-in Hours
Have questions about your 2026-27 financial aid application? In February, the Financial Aid Office is hosting a series of FAFSA/CADAA help drop-in hours for current UCR students. Drop in at Tartan & Tweed (1st floor of the Student Services Building right next to the HOSS) any time during the following dates/times:
- Thurs 2/5 | 11am-1pm
- Wed 2/11 | 11am-1pm
- Thurs 2/12 | 11am-1pm
- Wed 2/18 | 2-4pm
- Thurs 2/19 | 2-4pm
- Tues 2/24 | 2-4pm
HOSS Tips
Spring Registration is coming up soon! Classes are published Jan. 29. Check R'Web for your time ticket starting Feb. 3. Start making your advising appointments, take a look at your Degree Audit tool on R'Web and clear any holds on your account to avoid registration delays.
As you're planning for spring quarter with your advisor, use Scotty's Summer Staples to see what you might be able to take over the summer. Remember: undergrads only pay for their first 8 units during the summer - tuition on any additional units is free!
Jan. 23 is the winter quarter census date. To keep all your financial aid award, you must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units by the census date! Waitlisted courses DO NOT count.
Financial Aid Awareness Month is coming up in February. Don't miss the Financial Wellness Program's SAP 101 workshop on 2/18 at 1pm on Zoom to learn how to get and keep your financial aid!
